Affiliate disclosure
How referral commissions may support ScoutSubs and how we keep them separate from rankings.
Where disclosures appear
A page with an affiliate link should include a clear disclosure close to the recommendation or link, not only in the footer. The disclosure should be understandable without opening another page.
How commissions affect coverage
They may affect which purchase links are available, but they may not determine whether a service is covered, the evidence used, or the editorial conclusion. Non-affiliate services can be recommended when they fit the published criteria better.
Sponsored placements
A paid placement is labeled “Sponsored” or “Advertisement” and is kept separate from independent ranking. Do not use labels such as “Featured” when the commercial nature would be unclear.
Prices and availability
Providers control prices, eligibility, and availability. Readers should verify the final price and terms on the provider's site before buying. ScoutSubs should show when a price was last checked and identify the market where practical.
